OKeefe Stables March Updates

We are very thrilled to announce the addition of Cahira (Irish for female warrior) to OKeefe Stables. We purchased her last week at the OBS sales in Florida. She is the best bred horse in our stable. Her father Midshipman was the Breeders Cup 2 year old colt champion. Her mother Yaletown is the daughter of Kentucky Derby winner Thunder Gulch. She is currently at Irish Hills Century Farms until the Saratoga Training track opens in May. We expect to see her racing at Saratoga this summer by end of July-August. See her picture below and her videos at OKeefestables.com..

Awesome Life--He has been working tremendously in Florida since Dec and is scheduled to start his first race in about 3 weeks at Gulfstream Park. His works have been outstanding and we are really looking forward to his first race. After a couple of races in Florida, he will head to NY for the Saratoga meet.

Firing Fast-- She is in Belmont NY and has completed about 2 months of training and like Awesome Life is scheduled for her first race in about 3-4 weeks at Aquaduct Race Track. As with all the OKeefe Stables horses the goal has been to be ready for this summer at Saratoga!!

MJ's Yoshida--MJ our 2 yr old filly completed her initial training successfully and is on a break at In Front Training Center. She will resume her training at the end of the April and we are looking for her first race in Saratoga this summer.

Brody's Appeal--- Brody our 2 yr old colt is still in his initial training at In Front Training Center and after a couple months of turn out, we expect him to start training again in September and will start in the fall meet at Aquaduct.

Overall we are extremely optimistic about our stable. We haven't had any significant set backs and our horses are doing better than expected. We are really excited about the possibility of having 4 horses this summer at the Saratoga meet. As we live in Saratoga this has always been our dream. My brothers, wife and myself would like to thank everyone for their investment and support of our horses and we expect this summer to be wild!!!

NOTE--When we added the races and pictures of Cahira to our site , there was an IT glitch and when you try to look at a video it says "coming soon". However all you need to do is refresh the screen and you will be able to see any video. We are working with our web developer to fix the problem ASAP but in the meantime just refresh the screen and enjoy the videos.
